E is for… Edinburgh

I’m feeling a little melancholy tonight. Not sure why. Although Edinburgh was only my home for six months, I miss it. I think I miss the hope that I had there, hope that absolutely anything could happen. Scotland is most definitely my ‘spiritual home’. Love it to pieces. But I’m a bit afraid to ever go back in case it’s not the same as I remember.

I got to walk with Vikings in a torchlight procession

Watch far too much Gossip Girl and having a headband club and practise giving my best ‘Serena’ impression.

I must try and remember not to romanticise it too much.

Ugh. If I didn't already want to go to Scotland I would for sure what to now! A library with secret passages?? Are you kidding me...I need to go there. When I visited Ireland I loved wandering around the graveyards that I stumbled upon. The views from some of the graveyards were unbelieveable! The viking procession is pretty freaking nifty. It's like something you'd see in a movie! Thanks for sharing :)

I only lived in Bath, England for 4 months, and yet I still get homesick for it :(. Clearly, you and I were meant to live on the British Isles. Also, I love your pictures-- where are those ruins?!

(I love that both of our most recent posts deal with escaping our current lives for a preferably European destination)
